Troy Barber
Owner/Realtor

King and Society is the result of a vision. Troy’s vision, to be exact. When he started working in traditional real estate, Troy quickly found it to be too restricting when it came to branching out into property management and other areas. So, together with partners Sean and David, he set out to redefine how real estate is done in the Charleston area. Originally from Greenville, SC, Troy’s been working with buyers, sellers and investors since 2007, when he opened his own company out of a spare bedroom in his home. He has a certificate from the International Cotton Institute at Rhodes College, a brokers license and a degree in corporate finance from East Tennessee State University. Today, Troy averages 40 rehab projects a year while managing a handpicked staff of Charleston’s best real estate agents, investors, property managers and contractors. If you have a question—any question—related to living in the Charleston area, just ask Troy.

Keith Lucas
Broker in Charge/Realtor

Keith is the Broker in Charge at King and Society Real Estate located in Charleston, SC. Throughout the years his family and friends have always referred to him as the “Property Guy.” Originally from New England, Keith relocated to the south-east after selling his Intellectual Property Licensing company in the late 1990’s. Shortly after receiving his real estate license he became the business development manager of a budding real estate company in S.W. Florida. From that singular experience, he knew he had found another “property” passion, this time the buying and selling of real estate property. Keith quickly accelerated his career and became a franchisee owner/broker in Lee County, FL. While managing the day-to- day operation of his franchise he took on the role of in-house real estate trainer for his agents. It wasn’t long before he opened and operated a real estate school, then took it one step further by becoming a National Real Estate Sales Trainer himself. He has trained, mentored and coached agents from across the country. Keith continues to educate, train and mentor agents of all levels and experience at King and Society Real Estate. Keith is an award winning Realtor, is the past Chairman of a Multiple Listing System company and is a licensed Broker in multiple states. In his time-off he enjoys boating, is an avid angler, traveling with his wife, Helen, and loves entertaining his guests while cooking-up one of his signature low-country dishes. When he is not immersed in one of his hobbies, you can usually find him at one of Charleston’s special events or festivals.
