Troy Barber
Owner/Realtor/Broker in Charge

King and Society is the result of a vision. Troy’s vision, to be exact. When he started working in traditional real estate, Troy quickly found it to be too restricting when it came to branching out into property management and other areas. So, together with partners Sean and David, he set out to redefine how real estate is done in the Charleston area. Originally from Greenville, SC, Troy’s been working with buyers, sellers and investors since 2007, when he opened his own company out of a spare bedroom in his home. He has a certificate from the International Cotton Institute at Rhodes College, a brokers license and a degree in corporate finance from East Tennessee State University. Today, Troy averages 40 rehab projects a year while managing a handpicked staff of Charleston’s best real estate agents, investors, property managers and contractors. If you have a question—any question—related to living in the Charleston area, just ask Troy.

Rob Williams
General Contractor.

Rob was born and raised in Georgetown, SC where he developed a love for the coast. Being only an hour north of Charleston he was able to visit often and like most people, he fell in love with the beautiful city and he knew he’d eventually plant his roots here. After getting his BBA at Francis Marion University and a couple of post-graduate years in Columbia, he figured out a way to make it to his new home. He started in construction early 2003 and fell in love with it. Starting as a punch technician he felt he was learning how to build a house from finished product working backwards. This gave him a unique approach when he was given the opportunity to build a house from the start. New home building came naturally to Rob and he quickly realized that custom home building was where he wanted to be. Working with clients and making their dreams come true is what it’s all about. Every day is something new and there is never a dull moment.
